THE HOW-TO'S OF A FUN WEEKEND

FRIDAY

STAY
Lake Kaweah offers campsites around the lake with views of the Sierra Nevadas.  Set up camp in the early afternoon, then head to Visalia for dinner and a show!

EAT
Kids and pizza go together like.... kids and pizza!  Try Blaze Pizza or Round Table on Mooney Boulevard for a well-earned meal!

DISCOVER
Pena Planetarium offers shows the first and third Fridays of each month.  Take imaginary trips through the solar system and explore the wonders of the universe!


SATURDAY

STEWARDSHIP
Sequoia Riverlands Trust offers the opportunity to be a steward.  Discover Days at Blue Oak of Kaweah Oaks Preserve on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

LEARN
Learn about the local Native American Peoples that lived in the Visalia area.  Check out the bedrock mortar on display at the Lake Kaweah Heritage Center.

QUIRKY
For a bit of unique history, head to the Kaweah Post Office in Three Rivers, the smallest and oldest continuously operating post office.


SUNDAY

PACK UP
Clean up camp and pack up the car.  But don't be sad, your adventure isn't quite over yet!

EAT
A fitting end to fun-filled weekend is Sunday brunch at Black Bear Diner.  Take a photo in front of one of their fun themed murals!  But don't forget to come back to Visalia for your next adventure!
