The health and safety of everyone who lives, works, and visits our community is a top concern as restrictions are lifted and Tulare County slowly reopens.
How do businesses communicate their compliance with public health recommendations to keep customers and guests safe? In return, what responsibility do customers and guests have in following safety precautions when they patronize a local business?
The ‘Visalia Cares Stay Safe Pledge' is a new tool available to communicate a shared commitment to safety, designed in collaboration with local industry partners.
In just three quick steps, you can support the safety of our community and enhance confidence for visitors:
1. DOWNLOAD. Our Toolkit for Business has links to the Pledge in a variety of printable and shareable formats for Visalia. Click button below to download your free toolkit.
2. DISPLAY. Post the Pledge badge to your website, post the flyer on the door of your business or throughout your facility, display the poster on an easel.
3. PROMOTE. Promote your commitment to safety via social media and customer newsletters. Include it on your advertising. And while you’re at it, make sure your listings on VisitVisalia.com and Google are up to date. We have provided a social media pledge to make it easy for you to spread the word.
At its simplest, the Visalia Cares Stay Safe Pledge is a gentle reminder of recommended precautions that both businesses and guests “pledge” to take, such as washing or sanitizing hands, following social distance guidelines, and staying home when feeling ill.
More than that, the pledge provides a mechanism to help satisfy an identified need for safety information by customers and guests.
According to research from Destination Analysts, 75% of travelers will research how destinations and their businesses are managing the coronavirus situation before leaving on their trips. Only 12% are “very confident” and 32.5% “somewhat confident” that travel-related businesses can safely be reopened.
With the Visalia Cares Stay Safe pledge displayed by businesses and posted on their websites and on social media, customers and guests will understand our shared commitment to following public health guidance for the well being of our community and our visitors.
