With nonstop flights arriving in Fresno Yosemite International Airport, simply pick your departure point and surround yourself in nature in no time at all. An easy 45 minutes south from the airport, Visalia is your gateway to adventure in Sequoia National Park and beyond. 

From Fresno Yosemite International Airport, follow State Highway 99 south to Highway 198 East toward Visalia/Sequoia National Park. 

The Sequoia Shuttle is back for the 2024 season! Starting May 23, riders can enjoy a relaxing drive from most Visalia hotels into Sequoia National Park.

The Sequoia Shuttle operates all summer, until September 2, departing from most Visalia hotels several times a day, seven days a week. Reservations are required and round-trip tickets are only $20, with unlimited free shuttle service inside the park.

Get the most out of your visit to Sequoia National Park and leave your car behind to enjoy destinations throughout the Giant Forest including Giant Forest Museum, General Sherman Tree, Moro Rock, Lodgepole Visitor Center and Campground, Crescent Meadow, and Wuksachi Lodge.

V-LINE

V-LINE provides affordable, convenient, and easy-to-use Visalia-Fresno shuttle service. V-LINE offers six trips per day, beginning as early as 4 a.m. for airport travelers and early risers, seven days a week. V-LINE is the perfect choice for airport travelers.

Each 20-passenger V-LINE shuttle has comfortable seats, free Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, and storage racks. All shuttles are wheelchair-accessible and can accommodate two wheelchairs per trip.

Visalia has lots of public transportation options for visitors and residents alike. The centrally-located downtown Transit Center hub has plenty of parking nearby for an easy Park and Ride connection to shopping malls, businesses, and attractions. 

The Transit Center is the hub for the in-town City Coach Service and for the Tulare County Area Transit system serving outlying cities. It also sends buses to the closest train station. Visalia Transit System Map

The nearest Amtrak station to Visalia is located in Hanford, California, which is approx. 22 miles outside of the city. The Hanford Station serves the San Joaquin Route, which runs multiple times daily between Sacramento and Bakersfield, with major stops in Oakland, Stockton, Fresno, Modesto and Merced. Amtrak connecting bus service takes passengers to Visalia's downtown located Transit Center via Greyhound.
