Sequoia & Kings Canyon are open during road improvements.

March 23-24, 2024

Welcome to Visalia!

We welcome you to explore Visalia's lively and diverse art scene during the South Valley Art Tour, one of the Central Valley's premier art events. Visitors go behind the scenes for an insiders look at the studios and work spaces of talented artists from Visalia, Exeter, Three Rivers, Elderwood, and Woodlake — nationally recognized artists as well as aspiring greats. Get to know the faces and places behind Tulare County’s best artwork! Broaden your art horizons and make personal connections with these creative minds!

Come a little early or stay a few days after the event to enjoy all our area has to offer. Visalia is surrounded by premier outdoor recreation including two national parks: Sequoia & Kings Canyon. We encourage you to explore this charming and friendly community.  Below are suggestions for visiting the local National Parks and other things to do and places to explore during your visit. Of course, we are happy to answer questions or help you plan. Enjoy your stay.

Passports for the event are FREE to the public once again, meaning this tour is completely FREE! See how artists work in their own creative space; plus it is an opportunity to buy great art!

2024 will feature artist studios located NORTH of Highway 198. This year, over 20 artists participating in 13 locations!

Find information about participating artists and locations on the Arts Consortium website or by picking up a SVAT passport at the Visit Visalia office during regular business hours or at the Arts Consortium.

ABOUT SVAT PASSPORTS

During the two days of the tour, visitors navigate between each stop by using the free keepsake passport booklet. The passport provides all the information, maps and directions needed to access the studios and artists.
