Visit Visalia is thrilled to host the 2023 Miss California and Miss California’s Teen Competition at the Visalia Convention Center, July 1, 2023. This prestigious and professional development competition is set to kick off Sunday, June 25, when Visalia welcomes the young women for a week of interviews, rehearsals and meaningful community involvement. The contestant’s experience will culminate with the crowning of the winners on Saturday, July 1 at the Visalia Convention Center. The public are encouraged and invited to attend.

Micro Sprint Car Racing on the Plaza Park raceway brings excitement to your weekend celebrations. Catch the action on June 30. Gates open at 5:30 with first race at 7:00.
Celebrate the holiday with a Craft Brew Party at Soccer City 1852, Visalia's newest brewery, tap room and footy football venue. Join their Independence Day celebration -Red, White and Brews Party at 1852 - on Saturday, July 1 from 5:00-10:00 PM. Enjoy games, prizes, face-painting, water activity relays, food and of course, cold brews.
The baseball season is in full-swing at Valley Strong Ballpark! Cheer on the local team - The Visalia Rawhide - as they play Lake Elsinore Storm July 4 in America's favorite pasttime. Enjoy a post-game fireworks spectacular that will light up the sky with its dazzling display. Get your tickets in advance.

Join the fun at the Great American 5K and 10K Run. The Great American Race is presented by the City of Visalia and Forever Young Events. Race kicks off July 4th with a 5K or 10K run and Costume Contest. This takes place at Riverway Sports Park and along the paved trails along the St. John's Trail. Enjoy food, music, race photos and more.
Not a runner? It's OK. Bring a lawn chair and cheer on the runners. Enjoy the music of GenFM with their 4th of July playlist created just for the race. Hot Dogs and drinks will be available to purchase.
