WELCOME TO THE HIDDEN DISABILITIES SUNFLOWER PROGRAM TRAINING

Thank you for committing to learning more about hidden disabilities. By learning to recognize the sunflower symbol you can better serve people with hidden disabilities. 

An individual wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower logo on a Lanyard, Lapel Pin or Wristband has chosen to discreetly indicate to trained hotel, attraction, store or restaurant staff that they have a hidden disability and may require additional assistance. As a Visalia Sunflower business, that assistance could mean that they: 

• May need to be checked-in or seated as quickly as possible
• May have a need for a specific seating request
• May need to leave at a moment’s notice and need a quick checkout
• May be bringing in special food or have a special food request
• May have issues sitting still, not making eye contact, and may be non-verbal
